3) How much feed bunker runoff must be caught
and stored?
-
Leachate from a typical bunker for 200
head would be about 2500 ft3 per year.
-
The volume of the first flush to be stored
would be about 15,000 ft3 per year if only
the 0.2 inches of the first flush is
caught.
-
The volume of runoff would be about 17,500
ft3 from the bunker to be stored.
-
This would increase the annual storage
volume in your manure storage facility by
about 15%.

What Our Clients Say
"We knew what we wanted our green field dairy
facility to look like. When I saw Tiry Engineering's
topo and plans, I wasn't sure if it would end up how
we planned. It did though. It turned out exactly how
we wanted, and we're very happy with how it works.”
